Leaves are falling...

This morning as I headed out to work, I noticed that several brown leaves had fallen on the windshield and hood of my car. I paused for a moment, took a look around at the trees in my neighborhood and realized that the season is already changing. It's pretty hard to believe considering how beautiful a day it is today. But there is no mistake, the leaves are turning and Fall will soon be on the march.

It's wistful moments like these that bring to mind just how fast this year has been cruising by. I admit that I'm not entirely comfortable with the passage of time. Lately, it seems that I've been thinking increasingly about my age, family, friends, and certain unrealized dreams and expectations. As time goes by, the reality of these things sharpen in focus. And the only guarantee is that life (at some point, some day, somehow) will bring change.

Something unexpected happened to me last Friday. And without jumping to conclusions, it could signal a coming change in my life. I'm both excited and cautious. I suppose time will tell...as always.

Anyway, my apologies for the recent lack of posts. There are more on the way.
